"Abu Mundhir! Do you know which Ayah in Allah's Book is the greatest? I said: 'Allah and His messenger know best.' Ubayy bin Ka'b (radiAllahu anhu) reported: The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said: His throne doth extend Over the heavens And on earth, and He feeleth No fatigue in guarding And preserving them, For He is the Most High. Nor shall they encompass Aught of his knowledge Except as He willeth. What (appeareth to His creatures As) Before or After or Behind them. Who is there can intercede In His presence except As he permitteth? He knoweth His are all things In the heavens and on earth. There is no god but He - the Living, The Self-subsisting, Eternal. Wa la ya'uduhu hifdhuhuma Wa Huwal 'Aliyul-Adheem Wa la yuhituna bi shai'im-min 'ilmihi illa bima sha'a Ya'lamu ma baina aidihim wa ma khalfahum,

Man dhal-ladhi yashfa'u 'indahu illa bi-idhnihi And He is the Most High, the Most Great.Ayat al-Kursi is verse 255 of the second chapter (Surah) of the Holy Quran, Surat al-Baqarah (The Chapter of the Cow)īelow is the Arabic text, the transliteration, and the English translation and then some of the benefits of reciting this verse, the Verse of the Throne: His Kursī extends over the heavens and the earth, and their preservation tires Him not. Who is it that can intercede with Him except by His permission? He knows what is before them and what will be after them, and they encompass not a thing of His knowledge except for what He wills. To Him belongs whatever is in the heavens and whatever is on the earth. Neither drowsiness overtakes Him nor sleep.
